I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
